Our Vegetable and Fruit Farmers

Here is a list of growers we expect to use in 2008:

Jenny and Bruce Wooster, Picadilly Farm, Winchester, NH

Farming on a new to them farm, Jenny and Bruce have lots of experience. They have good clean soil with good drainage, the right equipment and the know how.  We have received crops grown by them in past years and are extremely pleased they will be our main suppliers in 2008.

DeWitt Thomson, Full Bloom Farm, Amherst

DeWitt has supplied us with certified organic vegetables since 1996. He is an established farmer who is a founding member of the Happy Valley Organic Growers' Cooperative. He will continue to supply some of the vegetables you will receive through the FDC.

Glenn Cook, Cider Hill Farm, Amesbury

Glenn employs cultural practices that minimize use of pesticides in his orchards(see description of integrated pest management [IPM].) He galso grows some crops without the use of pesticides and herbicides. Glenn's been working with us for eleven years and can also be found at the Marblehead Farmers' Market. He supplies much of our fruit, and some sweet corn.  http://www.ciderhill.com/

Rita Wolmering & Brooke Finn - Herb Farmacy, Salisbury
